Incidence rate of cancer Australia 2023, by age group

Around 2,847 per 100,000 people aged 85-89 in Australia were projected to be diagnosed with cancer during 2023, an incidence rate higher than any other age group. In contrast, just under 12 per 100,000 children aged five to nine were projected to be diagnosed with cancer in the same time period.
