Original data used in our publication by Piquet et al., Mol Cell 2018, including original microscopy images, western-blot scans, FACS data and results of image analyses. We describe a reshaping of histone variant patterns at sites of UVC damage repair in human cells with H2A.Z removal followed by de novo deposition of H2A.X, and we show that the H2A.X deposition machinery provides a means for fine-tuning DNA damage signaling.
