SDG 16.1.1 Rate of Victims of Intentional Homicide per 100,000 Population by Gender and Age Group

This dataset reports Qatar's intentional-homicide rate per 100,000 resident population, disaggregated by sex. Intentional homicide is the unlawful death of a person caused by another person with the intent to cause death or serious injury. For statistical purposes, it requires three elements: the killing of a person by another person, intent to kill or seriously injure, and the unlawfulness of the killing. The rate is calculated as the number of victims of intentional homicide divided by the resident population and multiplied by 100,000. The uploaded series draws on criminal-justice and mortality sources that vary across years; comparisons over time should therefore take source changes into account.
