Dataset Digital holographic microscopy and machine learning for quantitative 3D analysis and automatic classification of volcanic ash particles

This repository contains a CSV dataset of two‑ and three‑dimensional Shape Parameters (SP) for individual volcanic ash particles, extracted using Digital Holographic Microscopy (DHM). The particles derive from vitreous fragments of ten samples collected in northwest Argentina: four from various volcanic centers in the southern Catamarca-Puna region (Baez et al., https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jsames.2023.104745) and six from the plinian eruption of the Tocomar volcanic center near San Antonio de los Cobres, Salta (Petrinovic et al., https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jvolgeores.2006.04.013).
