Pressure has been widely used to tune the magnetocaloric effect (MCE) performance by impacting the magnetostructural/magnetoelastic coupling. However, research studies focusing on the relationship between the pressure-induced coupling mechanism and the electronic degree of freedom are scarce.Here, we propose to investigate the pressure-dependent lattice structure properties of La0.67Ca0.33MnO3, which undergoes a first-order insulator paramagnetic to metal-ferromagnetic transition with small thermal hysteresis, involving simultaneous structural, magnetic, and electronic transformations.Uncovering the pressure-dependent multi-degree-offreedom coupling mechanism will shed light on the path forward for dual-field studies of MCE materials.
