DWR Periodic Groundwater Levels

This dataset is derived from the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) Periodic Groundwater Levels dataset, which contains well measurements of groundwater levels. Most wells are measured twice a year during the high and low groundwater level seasons, although measurements at some wells are taken more frequently. Measurements are collected by the DWR and other agencies in groundwater basins across the state, or are reported through the (Sustainable Goundwater Management Act) SGMA or (California Statewide Groundwater Elevation Monitoring) CASGEM monitoring programs.
