Riga Spatial Plan is a long-term spatial development planning document of Riga Municipality, which defines the requirements for the use and construction of the territory, including functional zoning, regulations for the use and construction of the territory, as well as other conditions for the use of the territory. Functional zoning is a part of Riga spatial plan, which depicts zoning of territory, territories with special regulations and borders of territories with special status. Data are maintained in the 1992 Latvian Coordinate System (LKS-92 TM) with a scale accuracy of 1:10 000.
The Riga Spatial Plan has been approved by Riga City Council Binding Regulation No 103 of 15 December 2021 on the Binding Regulations on the Use and Construction of the Territory of Riga and is to be implemented as of 16 February 2023.
