MovieCuts

MovieCuts is a large-scale dataset developed by King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), focusing on the recognition of film editing types. It contains 173,967 video clips, each annotated with ten distinct editing types defined based on professional film industry expertise and academic literature. The dataset construction process involved professional annotators, ensuring the quality and accuracy of the annotations. The MovieCuts dataset has broad application scenarios, including film analysis, video re-editing, virtual cinematography, machine-assisted trailer generation, video editing and other related fields. It aims to enhance the automation and intelligence level of video editing through automatic recognition of editing types.
