<b>Project </b><b>- </b>MATCH: Monitoring Athletes, Trainers, Coaches and Health professionals- Knowledge of the epidemiology and severity of injuries and illness in young female elite athletes is lacking- A monitor system (surveillance method) was developed for collecting data from questionnaires and physical tests- The project resulted in several datasets (see reference to Figshare collection) <br><b>Research</b>- Objective: to gain more insight into the injuries and illnesses of young female elite athletes by recording injury and illness prospectively throughout a full season.<br><br><b>Data</b>- Participants: 60 young elite Dutch female athletes participating in soccer (n=23), basketball (n=22) and gymnastic (n=15) talent development programmes (CTO Amsterdam). - Data collection: all athletes completed the Dutch version of the Oslo Sports Trauma Research Center Questionnaire on Health Problems every other week during the season 2014-2015.- Main outcome measures: average prevalence of injury and incidence density of injury.- Fileset contains three csv-files as source data (one for each sport); three processed xlsx-files to compute prevalance, incidence and health problem characteristics; four spss-syntax-files (*.sps) for analyses and labeling.
