"Aswila Kangele und Br. Hauffe während einer Taufe in Bupiga." ("Aswila Kangele and Brother Hauffe during a baptism in Bupiga.") Two girls kneeling in front of Brother Hauffe and an African assistant are being baptized by pouring water. Behind them: people sitting on chairs under a roof. They are surrounded by people praying.; Werner Hauffe (1909-1982) was a carpenter and later a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine. From 1933 to 1939, he served in Rungwe, Utengule and Isoko. In Utengule, he was an assistant to Brother Gemuseus. In 1937, he married Irmgard Wolff.
