Last data update: March 19, 2017 A polygon layer identifying areas within the Source Protection Region where the rate of groundwater recharge is more than 15% greater than the average recharge across the entire Source Protection Area. The Clean Water Act requires municipalities to identify these areas in their official plans. Significant Groundwater Recharge Areas were identified by consultants through modelling exercises taken place across the Source Protection Region. See ourwatershed.ca for technical reports.
