PROSPECTS FOR THE USE OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES (GIS AND REMOTE SENSING) IN LAND RECLAMATION AND IRRIGATED AGRICULTURE

This thesis analyzes the prospects for the use of digital technologies, in particular, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing technologies, in land reclamation and irrigated agriculture. The study highlights the possibilities of monitoring the land reclamation status of irrigated lands using satellite images, drones, GPS and GIS platforms, determining soil moisture and salinity, effectively managing water resources, and quickly assessing the condition of crops. It also analyzes the importance of reforms and state programs in this area for the development of digital agriculture in Uzbekistan. The results of the study show that the widespread introduction of GIS and remote sensing technologies into land reclamation and irrigated agriculture is an important factor in increasing water use efficiency, improving land reclamation status, and ensuring the sustainability of agricultural production.
