BASIC RESEARCH METHODS IN GYNECOLOGY
收藏资源简介:
This article examines the basic research methods used in gynecology, with emphasis on clinical and epidemiological study designs, diagnostic-accuracy research, randomized trials, and evidence synthesis. In gynecology, method selection is especially important because many research questions involve heterogeneous symptoms, reproductive outcomes, invasive reference standards, long follow-up, and ethically sensitive populations. The article argues that no single method is universally superior: descriptive studies generate hypotheses, observational studies identify associations and risk factors, randomized controlled trials test interventions, diagnostic studies evaluate the performance of tests, and systematic reviews synthesize the accumulated evidence.
