Electrophysiological recordings in macaque V1 during passive viewing of full and occluded natural scenes (v1)

The data consists of electrophysiological recordings in the primary visual cortex (V1) of two macaque monkeys during passive viewing. We used a dataset of 24 natural scenes and a version of the same images with the bottom-right quadrant occluded with a white rectangle. Images spanned several categories: beaches, buildings, forests, highways, industry, and mountains. We recorded multi-unit neuronal activity from 144 recording sites in V1 in monkey B (6 5x5 Utah arrays) and 896 in monkey L (14 8x8 Utah arrays). We included in the final dataset, only recordings sites with SNR >1 whose receptive field were fully inside the area occupied by the white occluder, leading to a total of 175 recording sites (18 and 153 in each monkey respectively).
