To elucidate the molecular and genetic mechanisms through which PbrMADS1 rescues the pendent inflorescence stem phenotype of the nst1/nst3 double mutant, we conducted RNA-seq to quantify genome-wide mRNA levels in both the nst1/nst3 mutant and PbrMADS1 complementary lines.These lines exhibit markedly contrasting lignin biosynthesis in the inflorescence stems of Arabidopsis.
