This project focuses on the investigation of epigenetic and transcriptomic regulation in Phytophthora sojae, an important agricultural pathogen responsible for soybean root rot. Using H3K27me3 ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, and sRNA-seq datasets, this study aims to understand the roles of histone methylation and small RNAs in silencing effector genes, particularly those involved in host immune evasion and pathogen adaptability. The raw sequence reads generated from various strains and mutants, including ACR10, P6497, sc10 and their derivatives, provide insights into the mechanisms underlying epigenetic regulation in this pathogen.
