In this report, we evaluate underwater sounds recorded at various locations around the GOM over a 14- year period (2010-2024), and spatio-temporally correlate these recordings with seismic airgun survey vessel activity using Global Positioning System (GPS) locations from the Automated Information System (AIS) and Protected Species Observation (PSO) reports recorded aboard seismic vessels. The correlations provide detailed insights on where, when, and how seismic surveys operate and how their sounds propagate in the GOM including temporal, spatial, and spectral patterns in received sound levels during seismic operations.
