Number of granted student residence permits in Sweden 2020, by citizenship

In 2020, almost 11 thousand student residence permits were granted in Sweden. Of these residence permits, 1,729 were given to students from China, and 1,648 to students from India. Other kinds of residence permits granted in Sweden in 2020 were amongst others related to the labor market, the EEA agreement, family reunification, or the state of being a refugee.
