William Henry Harrison Inaugural Walking Stick

William Henry Harrison Walking cane inscribed and dated March 4, 1841. 37" long. Inaugural cane inscribed on gold metal top (handle) around bottom band area: "Gen. William H. Harrison March 4th, 1841." Top handle is square shaped with white or crystal jewel. Under the jewel the metal top narrows and then widens again with decorative bands - the gold eight sided tear drop or pedal shape decoration which has four of the shapes inverted and four pear shapes solid narrows to a six sided gold band which flares outward to a 1/8th inch gold decorated band; another 1/8th inch decorated band is ¼ inch below separated by narrowing 16 sided gold band with the inscription. Wood of cane is lighter on one side at top under inscription. Wood around a knot and on the reverse side of the knot is a rough area but polished.
