Elicitation tests for photocontact sensitivity were performed 10 days after the last sensitizing exposure. The epitope in acetone was applied to the back of guinea pigs. Out of 20 hairless guinea pigs tested, none developed photocontact sensitivity to the epitope. Among the hairy Hartley guinea pigs, 7 of 20 developed photocontact sensitivity. However, by adminstration of cyclophosphamide before sensitization, positive photocontact responses were observed with TBS in hairless guinea pigs.
