Glacier Area Change and Climate Dataset for the Tsambagarav Region, Mongolian Altai (1969–2024)

This dataset contains glacier area measurements and statistical relationships between climate variables and glacier area used in the study “Climate-Driven Glacier Retreat and Emerging Water and Hazard Risks in the Mongolian Altai (1969–2024)”. Glacier area estimates were derived from multi-temporal satellite imagery including CORONA, Landsat, and Sentinel-2 observations. Climate data were obtained from the National Agency for Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring (NAMEM), Mongolia, and are available through institutional request procedures.
