VPRS 899 Agenda and Rough Minute Books

This series details the items on the agenda for meetings of the Board of Education (Minutes of the Board are contained in VPRS 894 Minute Books.) and the rough minutes of the meetings.Double pages were used for each meeting with the pages being headed with the number and, initially, date of the meeting. The left hand page has the items for consideration by the Board formalised under the headings of Number of the Agenda Item, Number of the Letter and Subject. Correspondence referred to may be found in VPRS 903 Inwards Registered Correspondence. On the righthand page were entered the date and the Boards Order. These notes were used as rough minutes of the meeting.Where the Board was being asked to consider multiple applications for aid a detailed summary of these was pasted in the Agenda Book and simply referred to rather than being detailed in the Minute Books. Details of these were the application number, the roll (or school) number, the name of the school, the amount applied for, the amount recommended and the date and Board Order. In the remarks column are given details of the request and the relevant item and correspondence number.
