TGF-β1 is a key regulator of diverse biological processes. It can be overexpressed by noxious stimuli, and activation of downstream signals leads to excessive accumulation of extracellular matrix. Therefore, in order to study diseases related to these symptoms, we sought to compare changes in expression of genes in cells. Our study investigated differentially expressed genes in two types of respiratory cells following TGF-β1 exposure and identified the molecular mechanism through biological analysis. To investigate changes in expression of two respiratory epithelial cells according to TGF-β1 exposure, A549 and BEAS-2B were treated with 1 and 5 ng/mL of TGF-β1.
