Biomarkers that prospectively predict HIV-1 infection in high risk adults

We sequenced the RNA content of plasma-derived extracellular vesicles from a historical high risk HIV cohort at the Coast of Kenya. We found that an immunosuppresive transcriptional profile and the presence of Pegivirus C associate with HIV acquisition in this particular cohort.
