Mycoplasmopsis bovirhinis Genome sequencing. Mycoplasmopsis bovirhinis

M. bovirhinis is a common colonizer of the bovine upper respiratory tract but appears to be largely nonpathogenic. It is closely related to M. bovis, a frequent cause of disease in cattle and bison. The goal of this project is to acquire genome sequences from M. bovirhinis for comparative analysis with those of M. bovis with the hope of gaining insights as to the genetic basis of virulence in M. bovis.
