资源简介:
The Swedish Infrastructure for Ecosystem Science (SITES) support ecosystem research via access to field stations where context for new research is provided by long-term, standardized and openly available monitoring datacombined with on-site expertise to assist in the design and execution of scientific investigations that can span spatial and temporal scales as well as disciplinary boundaries. One such type of contextual data pertains to biodiversity assessed from metagenome sequencing of representative environmental samples. To enable access to such contextual information we sequenced triplicate DNA samples collected from soils (agricultural land and forests), lake and river sediments, wetland sediments, ice and water using Illumina shortread sequencing. Samples were from nine research stations across Sweden, including Abisko, Tarfala, Svartberget, Röbäcksdalen, Erken, Grimsö, Skogaryd, Asa, Lönnstorp, covering the entire latitudinal range of Sweden and a wide range of landscape elements. Our hope is that this metagenome sequence dataset will be a valuable resource for researchers working at the stations and the scientific community at large.
