The study aims to investigate the effect of plant-growth-promoting rhizobacteria treatment on rice seeds prior to sowing on the mitigation of methane release from paddy field. The soil metagenome was analysed to determine the changes in the soil microenvironment that leads to the decrease of methane flux in different treatment groups as compared to the control group.
