Dataset of YouTube comments posted to English-language videos containing instructions on how to give first aid for choking

This dataset contains an original and cleared corpus of comments posted to English-language YouTube videos showing instructions on how to give first aid in case of foreign body airway obstruction (search query: “what to do choking”; search location: the UK), excluding videos with less than 100,000 views, videos lasting 60 seconds or less, videos without comments, presenting self-help only, first aid for animals or real-life incident footage.
A total of 11,402 original comments posted to 49 videos were collected in July 2024 using YouTube Data Tools.
The final corpus cleared from non-English text, meaningless comments, URLs, emails, hashtags, user mentions, emojis, special characters, punctuations, and redundant whitespaces contains 6,786 comments.
