This dataset contains synthetic EnergyPlus simulation outputs replicating the study “Integrating Brick Phase Change Materials into Modular Construction for Enhanced Energy Efficiency in Net-Zero Buildings.” It includes representative hourly data for three climate zones (London, Dubai, Toronto), comparing indoor temperature stabilization and cooling loads between PCM-embedded modular brick walls and standard brick walls.
The building model represents a single-story 100 m² modular house with PCM properties (melting point 24 ℃, latent heat 200 kJ/kg, 10% by weight) and HVAC setpoints of 22 ℃ heating and 26 ℃ cooling. Results demonstrate ~31% cooling energy savings and ~60% reduction in indoor temperature swings with PCM integration.
