VPRS 14733 Index to Committee Minutes, Dandenong Valley Regional Library Service

The index was created to facilitate access to the minutes by subject headings.Entries were made in the index in alphabetical order by subject heading. The subjects were matters under discussion. Cross-references were made from subject headings in the index to the related page numbers, motion numbers and dates of meetings in the minute books. For example, the subject 'Australia Day, donation of flag, etc.,' was discussed in 1982. Via the index, the researcher is referred to '29/26, 23/2/82' in the minutes. In that example, the related minute book for that date would be selected, number 29 is the page number in that volume and number 26 is the motion number for the 'Australia Day' matter.
