CLASSICISM AS A SPECIFIC STYLE OF ART

This article is devoted to one of the main topics of aesthetics — the philosophical issues of art. It analyzes classicism in the aesthetics of the modern European period as an artistic movement based on the principles of normativity, rationality, and perfection of form in creative activity. The article highlights that various views and approaches emerged on the basis of the aesthetic concept of classicism, aimed at enhancing the multifunctional characteristics and social functions of art in public life. The necessity of philosophically analyzing and identifying the role of art in contemporary social life and the problems facing it today is also examined.
