Planetary Boundary Layer Height 10-years long (2010-2020) Global Dataset from Radiosonde

RS_PBLH.csv radiosonde_pblh.pkl 10-years long global dataset of Planetary Boundary Layer Height (PBLH) retrieved from radiosonde measurements via bulk-Richardson number method (bRi). The dataset contains a total of 4,309,109 globally-distributed PBLH measurements from 693 radiosonde launching stations. The radiosonde measurement sources are: German Weather Service (DWD) Global Climate Observing System Reference Upper-Air Network (GRUAN) National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) University of Wyoming upper-air sounding data-set The PBLH value is relative to the sea level. To retrieve the PBLH relative to the surface, min_altitude_rs needs to be subtracted. The threshold for the bRi method was set to 0.25. calipso.pkl Local Level-1 Total Attenuated Backscatter (TAB) measurements by CALIPSO intersecting radiosonde PBLH dataset measurement locations. Xtrain Xval Xtest Pickles containing the train, validation and test datasets for ML train and test. These pickles are generated intersecting CALIPSO-measured TAB and radiosonde-measured PBLH in time and space.
