RNA-seq analysis of Withania somnifera after exposure to high salt concentrations

RNA was extracted from leaf samples obtained from 3 Withania somnifera control plants (WC) that were watered with Hoagland's solution and 3 experimental plants (WS) that were watered with Hoagland's solution supplemented with 100mM NaCl (for one week). Overall design: 3 control Withania somnifera plants were watered with Hoagland's solution and 3 experimental Withania somnifera plants were watered with Hoagland's solution supplemented with 100mM NaCl for 1 week. Three leaves per plant were collected and ground into powder with liquid nitrogen. RNA was extracted, library prep commenced with Ribo-zero protocols and sequenced on Illumina NovaSeq 6000 system.
