Distribution of the predicted background yields and the observed data for events with a near DV with a transverse distance from the primary vertex between 1 mm and 4 mm, $n_{\mathrm{track}} \geq 4$, and $m_{\mathrm{DV}} < 40\,\text{GeV}$ as a function of $n_{\mathrm{track}}$. In events with more than one near DV, the properties of the DV with the highest $m_{\mathrm{DV}}^{\mathrm{red}}$ value are shown. The hatched band represents the total uncertainty in the prediction.
