Translocation and deterrence as tools for conservation and management of Columbian ground squirrels in a national park

This repository contains raw data and code supporting the manuscript "Translocation and deterrence as tools for conservation and management of Columbian ground squirrels (Urocitellus columbianus) in a national park," which is published in Ecological Solutions and Evidence (https://doi.org/10.1002/2688-8319.70224). squirrel_analysis provides the R code required to reproduce all analyses. raw_survival_data includes the census data for all 120 squirrels captured as part of this study as well as the survival outcomes for the translocated and control squirrels. deterrence_Sawridge and burrow_key_Sawridge provide the raw data for the burrow-blocking (deterrence) experiment conducted at the Sawridge site. The first file includes daily observations of burrow activity and the second is the master list of all blocked burrows. deterrence_Palisades and burrow_key_Palisades provide the raw data for the supplementary burrow-blocking experiment conducted at the Palisades site, which is described in the supplementary material for our manuscript.
