The mission of the CLIVAR and Carbon Hydrographic Data Office (CCHDO) is to aggregate, standardize, document, and disseminate high quality Conductivity-Temperature-Depth (CTD), hydrographic, carbon, and tracer data collected by GO-SHIP and other repeat hydrography projects, past and present. The CCHDO ensures that these valuable data and their associated documentation are (i) readily available for immediate research and education, (ii) easily accessible through several search and download sites aimed at diverse audiences, (iii) fed into global products such as the World Ocean Atlas, GLODAP, GO-SHIP easy ocean, and the Argo reference database, and (iv) in partnership with NOAA, archived for long-term preservation. Beyond simple accessibility, the CCHDO undertakes meticulous verification, assembly, and documentation, to produce standardized, well-described, reference-quality cruise data products from heterogeneous data submissions. The goal is to maximize data usability for the scientist community and ensure a long service life. Whenever possible, data are provided in four easy-to-use formats: WHP-Exchange (which we recommend for data submissions to the CCHDO), WOCE, WHP netCDF, and CF netCDF.
CLIVAR与碳水文数据办公室（CLIVAR and Carbon Hydrographic Data Office，简称CCHDO）的使命是整合、标准化、编目并传播由全球航行水文调查计划（GO-SHIP）以及其他过往与当前的重复水文调查项目所采集的高质量电导率-温度-深度（Conductivity-Temperature-Depth，简称CTD）数据、水文数据、碳数据及示踪剂数据。CCHDO确保这些珍贵的数据及其关联文档能够实现以下四项保障：（一）可即刻用于科研与教育工作；（二）通过多个面向不同受众的检索与下载站点实现便捷获取；（三）被纳入世界海洋图集（World Ocean Atlas）、GLODAP、GO-SHIP easy ocean以及Argo参考数据库等全球数据产品体系；（四）与美国国家海洋和大气管理局（National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration，简称NOAA）合作开展长期归档保存。除了保障基础的可访问性之外，CCHDO还会开展细致严谨的校验、整合与编目工作，从来源各异的数据提交材料中产出标准化、描述完备且达到参考级质量的航次数据产品。其核心目标是最大化科研社区的数据可用性，并保障数据拥有长久的服务生命周期。在条件允许的情况下，数据将以四种易于使用的格式提供：WHP-Exchange（我们推荐用于向CCHDO提交数据的格式）、WOCE、WHP netCDF以及CF netCDF。
