Data on USSD Apps in Health Informatics Management in Nigeria: Prospects, Challenges and Intention to Use

The datasets contain information on patients’ perception towards the use of Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) App to improve personal health information exchange. A cross-sectional survey questionnaire consisting of 19 items was administered to 421 outpatients at three tertiary healthcare facilities South East Region of Nigeria including Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Federal Medical Centre, Owerri, Imo state and Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia, Abia State. The responses were transferred into google form for easy collation, pre-processing and analysis. Data was collected on demographics, application areas, prospects, adoption challenges and patients’ intention to use the USSD App.
