The dataset series consists of three datasets: Basic gas, detailed, Ground gas, regional and Basic gas overview, which is digitised in different scales and has different coverage areas. These datasets are a collection of landforms and phenomena in and on the seabed caused by natural gas in the seabed. Shallow gas can originate from both sedimentary rocks and overlying sediments. Typical landforms are pockmarks and diapirs, but ground gas can also appear as strong reflectors (bright spots) or gas melting on seismic profiles.
