Movement and calculation of the resident population in Tuscany. 2021

The data set contains data on the population movements, recorded in the period from 1 January to 31 December 2021, of residents in the municipalities of Tuscany. The amount at 1 January, the changes that occurred during the year (births, deaths, registrations and cancellations) and the amount at 31 December of the resident population in a complex separated by municipality of residence are shown.
Starting from the 2019 budget, the counts of demographic flows are the result of a progressive integration of the evidence of personal data with other administrative sources, both personal and non-personal, which contribute to the establishment of the basic statistical register of individuals, families and cohabitation (RBI). In addition, the flows of deaths, which contribute to the construction of the demographic balance, are consolidated with the new database of daily mortality of the resident population. Early dissemination of timely data on daily municipal deaths – for all causes, by gender and age – is possible thanks to the collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior for the acquisition of ANPR (National Register of Resident Population) data and with the Ministry of Economy and Finance for the acquisition of the flow of deaths resulting from the Tax Register.
The process of consolidating flows ends about 11 months late with the validation of the annual balance sheet data and with the alignment of the population at 31 December with the results of the permanent population census.
As of 2018, population over- and under-coverage is a statistical correction factor included in the population balance of the resident population (Total census balance).
