Digital Archive from an Archaeological Evaluation at the Garlic Farm, Mersley Lane, Newchurch, Isle of Wight, November to December 2023

The collection comprises site images and records, GIS data, and spreadsheet data from an archaeological evaluation at the Garlic Farm, Mersley Lane, Newchurch, Isle of Wight. Works were carried out by Wessex Archaeology between November and December 2023. The evaluation successfully identified a number of worked pieces of late Mesolithic to early Bronze Age flint work within the topsoil, and residually within a small number of features. Iron age pits thought to relate to settlement activity upslope to the south-east, and a post-medieval field boundary.
