we reported the complete chloroplast genome of Brassica campestris var. purpuraria and compared it with the published chloroplast genomes of Brassicaceae species. Moreover, its genome features, codon bias usage, simple sequence repeats (SSRs), IR boundary, evolution and phylogenetic were analyzed. Our results provides valuable information for further studies on species identification, molecular marker, evolution and phylogenetic relationships of purple flowering stalk.
