The information on sedimentation rates for recent sediments is presented as point-source information. Estimations of modern sedimentation rates (centimetres/year) can be based e.g. on established historical records of anthropogenic radionuclides (e.g. 137Cs and 241Am), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), lead (Pb) and stable lead isotope (206/207Pb ratios).
近期沉积物沉降速率的信息以点源信息的形式呈现。现代沉积速率（厘米/年）的估算可以基于已建立的历史人类放射性同位素记录（例如137Cs和241Am），多氯联苯（PCBs），铅（Pb）及其稳定同位素（206/207Pb比值）等。
