The dataset creation process emphasizes naturalness and conversational engagement, with no restrictions on linguistic style or specific discussion topics. FinChat is primarily designed for the evaluation and development of open-domain chatbots for the Finnish language, aiming to address the shortage of evaluation resources for Finnish chatbots.
