MODIS Collection 6 Liquid cloud bulk optical properties

This database provides liquid cloud bulk optical properties computed using the water refractive indices and droplet size distributions assumed in the Moderate resolution spectroradiometer (MODIS) Collection 6 cloud retrieval algorithm. The database covers 470 wavelengths ranging from 0.02 to 200 µm. Cloud effective radii range from 2 to 30 µm in 1 µm increments. Droplet single scattering properties at 1e4 droplet diameter values logarithmically distributed between 1e-3 and 1e3 µm are computed with the Lorenz-Mie code. The single scattering properties are subsequently integrated over the droplet size distributions to obtain the bulk optical properties.
