Genome-wide CRISPR/Cas9 Knockout Screen for Host Dependency Factors for CXCR4 tropic HIV–1 in T cells

We performed a genome-wide CRISPR/Cas9-based screen in a CD4+ T cell model with a replication-competent CXCR4-tropic HIV–1 reporter virus. In addition to the known HIV entry receptors, CD4 and CXCR4, we have identified a number of previously undescribed HDFs relevant for HIV replication.
