Dish-I-Wish: A Dataset on Children’s Food Choices, Portion Sizes, and Meal Context

This dataset was collected via the Dish-I-Wish mobile application, a digital tool designed to capture detailed information about children’s eating behavior in naturalistic settings. Children reported meals by selecting food items and estimating their visual share on a plate. Portion masses were then derived using physical food density (g/cm³) and the percentage of plate area occupied, enabling accurate estimation of nutritional intake without requiring scales or diaries.Files included: dish-i-wish-to-publish.csv (dataset), README.md (full variable descriptions and usage notes).
