Lysobacter yananisis and Lysobacter firmicutimachus - Genome Sequencing, Assembly, and Mining. Lysobacter yananisis and Lysobacter firmicutimachus

Cell cultures of Lysobacter yananisis (ATCC BAA-2621) and Lysobacter firmicutimachus (DSMZ 102073) were purchased, cultured, and their DNA was isolated for multiplexed genome sequencing and assembly. The genome assemblies were mined for Biosynthetic Gene Clusters (BGCs) to assess their homologies with related clusters in the assembled genomes of other lysobacter species. Cell culture media for both species was screened using LC-MS and Tandem MS/MS experiments in search of novel ionized species whose fragments match with those predicted by bioinformatic software during BGC assessment.
