SON siRNA Treatment in MEG-01

SON siRNA treatments were performed in an AMKL cell line, MEG-01. SON, a co-splicing factor and transcriptional regulator, is highly expressed in AMKL patients and cell lines. Moreover, SON is the second highest expressed chromosome 21 transcription factor in AMKL patients with Down syndrome. However, the function of SON in AMKL has not been explored previously. The goals of this study are to evaluate the effect of SON knockdown in a common AMKL cell line and to determine the target pathways that contribute to AMKL development and progression.
