TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Teaching methodology is one of the central components of the educational process, as it determines how knowledge, skills, values, and competencies are transferred from teachers to learners. The effectiveness of education depends not only on the content of a subject but also on the methods, strategies, techniques, and instructional tools used during teaching. In contemporary education, teachers are expected to move beyond the simple transmission of information and create learning environments that encourage active participation, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and independent learning. Traditional teaching methods have generally been based on teacher-centered instruction, in which the teacher serves as the primary source of knowledge and students mainly receive, memorize, and reproduce information. Lectures, explanations, demonstrations, and textbook-based activities remain important in many educational contexts because they allow teachers to present large amounts of information systematically. However, these approaches may not always provide sufficient opportunities for student interaction, problem-solving, practical application, or individual development. As a result, researchers and educators have increasingly emphasized the importance of learner-centered and interactive teaching methodologies.
