资源简介:
To investigate the effects of DHA (omega-3) treatment on affecting brain dysfunction and metabolic disorders by profiling the transcripome in the hypothalamus of male Bgn_KO mice (with and without DHA) at 13 weeks old. Overall design: All mice (Bgn_KO (n=3) and Bgn_KO_DHA (n=5)) were maintained in a temperature-controlled room with a 12-hour light and 12-hour dark cycle. Diet (Pico Lab 5053 rodent diet) and water were provided ad libitum, with DHA diet contained 0.5% of flaxseed oil and 1.2% of DHA capsule oil, and supplied to Bgn_KO_DHA mice for about 6 weeks. At 13 weeks old, mice were sacrificed. Hypothalamus and liver were dissected out, flash frozen, and stored at -80°C for later usage. Please note that one of the Bgn_KO samples was excluded as an outlier. All experiments were performed in accordance with the United States National Institutes of Health Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals and were approved by the University of California at Los Angeles Chancellor’s Animal Research Committee.
